PURPOSE:To efficiently, sanitarily, and economically regenerate a hanger by continuously and automatically carrying out the removal of the incineration and combustion products of a paint tightly adhered to the hanger and the washing of the hanger. CONSTITUTION:A looped conveyor 1 provided with plural hanging hooks 2 at appropriate places is installed, and the hanger 3 to which a paint is tightly adhered is hung from the hanging hook 2. The paint on the hanger 3 is incinerated by an incinerator 4 kept at 400-450 deg.C, and the exhaust gas from the incinerator 4 is afterburned at 700-750 deg.C in an afterburning furnace 7. An external shock is exerted on the hanger 3 in a shocker chamber 10 to release the combustion product adhered to the hanger. The surface of the hanger is subsequently washed by a cleaning soln. in a spray chamber 13. The solid matter contained in the spent soln. is removed by a filter 16 or in a sedimentation tank 19, and the soln. freed of the solid matter is used as the soln. to be supplied to the spray chamber 13. As a result, the hanger can be efficiently, sanitarily, and economically regenerated.
