PURPOSE:To obtain a guide mechanism for easily charging a recording sheet even if there is no space by rotatably forming a guide member centering around the rotary shaft of a rotary body. CONSTITUTION:The cover 16 of a recording system B is opened and a knob part 15 is rotated in the (a) direction. At this time, a recording head 10 is sepa rated from a platen roller 11 due to the rotation of a cam member 13 while a guide member 14 is rotated being moved upward until the top end of the guide member 14 is nearly at the same height as the top end face of the platen roller 11, forming the inserting port 17 of a recording sheet 8. By allowing the recording sheet 8 to fall into a sheet holder 9 and, as its end is inserted into the inserting port 17, the recording sheet 8 is guided by the guide member 14 and inserted in between the recording head 10 and the platen roller 11 which are in a separated condition. And, as the knob part 15 is rotated in the (b) direction after the sheet 8 is inserted, the cam member 13 is rotated causing the recording head 10 to be brought into pressure contact with the platen roller 11 by means of a spring 10a via the recording sheet 8.
