PURPOSE:To secure sufficient conveying force for a developer even when additives for blade cleaning are added by using composite carriers with weak conveying force by forming a prescribed roughened surface on the surface of a developing roll. CONSTITUTION:An electrostatic latent image which is formed on the surface of a photosensitive body 1 in an exposing process is developed into a visual image (toner image) with a magnetic brush of constant height formed on the surface of the developing roll 4 and then transferred to a form in a transfer process. A sand-blast treatment is carried out for the surface of the developing roll 4 to form the roughened surface of >=Rz=5mu mean roughness, so even when composite carriers with weak conveyance force are used and additives for blade cleaning which further decrease the conveyance force are used, sufficient conveyance force is secured. |
