Arrangement for the temperature control of rolling mills

In rolling mills of this kind, at least one roll is heated and/or cooled by means of a water circuit connected to it and driven by a pump device, this water circuit being passed selectively through the primary side of a heat exchanger. The temperature control is to be improved in such a way that account is taken both of economic aspects in the consumption of energy and water and the aspect of satisfactory quality of the ground product. This is achieved by the installation in the water circuit of a heating and/or cooling unit which supplies heat to the circulated water or removes heat from it.
