PURPOSE:To improve the rewrite job efficiency and to miniaturize a receiver by providing an individual number rewrite control means, sending a special number from a transmitter for rewrite or a base station in place of an individual code number and sending a new individual number code together therewith. CONSTITUTION:After a specific number and an individual number from a code transmitter 11 are coded respectively, they are sent in a radio wave in much the same form as that of a selective call signal sent from a base station. A circuit 41 of a selective call receiver collates a specific number code with a specific number code stored in advance by a specific number storage section 42. When it is detected that the code is a specific number code, it is stored temporarily in a register or the like in a code collation circuit. Then an individual number rewrite control circuit 43 accesses an individual number storage section 50 and the new individual number code stored temporarily in the register is read and fed to the individual number storage section 50, in which the old individual number code is rewritten into the new individual number code. |
