PURPOSE:To obtain the novel title composition usable as a substitute fluorocarbon by combining 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2-trifluoroethane which is a fluorocarbon with chlorobromomethane, etc., and tert. butyl chloride. CONSTITUTION:The title composition obtained by combining 1,1,2-trichloro-1,2,2- trifluoroethane (R113) with either one compound of chlorobromomethane, cis-1,2- dichloroethylene, 2,3-dimethyl-butane, 2-methylpentane, 3-methylpentane and n-hexane and tert. butyl chloride. The composition exhibits azeotropic composition, especially when the composition consists of about 76wt.% R113, about 7wt.% tert. butyl chloride and about 17 wt.% chlorobromo-methane. The composition has cleaning power larger than that of single R113 and is useful as a substitute for R113. The composition can reduce the amount of R113 used and is hardly changed even when the composition is recycled. |
