The subject of the present invention is a clamping device of the vice type for holding components in various directions, including, on the one hand, at least one base (1, 2) in which are distributed holes which pass right through it, which base includes suckers for fixing it to a plane support, on the other hand, a polyhedral bearing component including holes situated in various planes in space and a stub for penetrating into the said holes in the base and further including clamps, the end of the rod of which is made to penetrate into one of the said holes in the base or in the bearing component, characterised in that it is composed of two bases (1, 2) articulated together along one of their peripheral edges (1c, 2c), which bases include a handle (1e, 2e, 4) situated opposite their articulation edge (1c, 2c), and in that the said handles (1c, 2c) coincide in the position in which the bases (1, 2) are folded up, which bases are laid out flat in the working position or folded up against one another in the transport position. <IMAGE>
