The equipment has a container, a pressure-regulated pump, and a distributor device for a liq. plant protection medium moving parallel to the rows of crops. The applicator incorporated in the distributor device comprises a downwardly open, box-shaped frame, the lateral walls of which in the movement direction extend over the face surfaces. In the lower area of the box is a layer of open-pored foam material, e.g. a polyurethane foam, which extends over the lower edges of the face surfaces in the free space limited by the side surfaces of the box. Alternatively, the open-pored material can be a fibre fleece. On the upper cover surface of the box is a support arm and a feed conduit for at least one protective medium spray nozzle provided on the inside of the cover surface. USE/ADVANTAGE - For the eradication of resistant weeds, e.g. couch grass, without harming growing crops.
