A heat exchanger has tubes to take heating or cooling agent, an insulating sheet on which the tubes are mounted and which provides both sound and heat insulation, and a means of fixing the tubes on to the sheet namely a 'Velcro' strip fasterner. The tubes are pref. made of cross-linked polyolefin.
