Electrode for Pb batteries consists of a centrally located Pb sheet (1), coated on both sides with active material (3), which extends up to raised edges (2) of the sheet, which form a frame around the electrode. The frame anta may have a trapezoidal, triangular or similar cross section. ADVANTAGE - Electrode has a minimum out of inactive material and can be mfd. in three steps.
