A radiation sensitive resin composition, a spacer for an LCD device formed from the composition, and a method for preparing the spacer are provided to form a space having excellent rubbing resistance, heat resistance and the adhesion to a substrate even with a low exposure amount. A radiation sensitive resin composition comprises (A) a polymer of unsaturated compounds comprising at least one selected from the group consisting of an unsaturated carboxylic acid and an unsaturated carboxylic anhydride; (B) a polymerizable unsaturated monomer (but the D component is excluded); (C) a radiation sensitive polymerization initiator; and (D) a compound having a ureylene group and a polymerizable unsaturated bond. The D component is a compound represented by the formula 1, wherein R1 are identical or different each other and are a 2-4-valent organic group; R2 are identical or different each other and are a hydrogen atom or a methyl group; and n are identical or different each other and are an integer of 1-3.
