PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable communication terminal for allowing a user to easily recognize whether his or her movement direction is appropriate. SOLUTION: The portable communication terminal 10 has a navigation function for guiding a route from a current position to a destination by utilizing a network 100 and a GPS signal. A geomagnetic sensor 46, a direction detection circuit 44, and a gyro sensor 48 detect the movement direction of the portable communication terminal 10 (user). A CPU 20 determines whether the movement direction coincides with the direction of the route instructed by the navigation function. When the movement direction does not coincide with the direction of the route instructed by the navigation function, an LED 38 emits a red, yellow, or orange color, thus notifying a direction where the user should move.
