<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking method for forming a mark on a light transmissive compound material such as GFRP without damaging its surface. <P>SOLUTION: A mark 40 is formed inside a light transmissive compound material 30 by condensing the laser beam 23 of the ultra-short pulse laser at the predetermined depth from the surface of the light transmissive compound material 30 such as the GFRP. In a structural member consisting of the light transmissive compound material 30, the mark 40 is formed only inside the light transmissive compound material, and any exterior damage is not formed on its surface by laser scanning.
