The vehicle (1) has a sliding door (5) for closing an inner area (3). Two door opening elements are provided on inner side and outer side of the vehicle for opening the door. The door opening elements are operatable by any body part e.g. knee, foot, shoulder or elbow, which is different from the hand. The latter door opening element is deactivated based on operating phases of the vehicle. The door opening elements are designed as pressing switches with an operating plate and are arranged separately and are provided at a specific distance from the door.
