<p>The present invention provides a method for forming {100} texture in the processing of a sheet metal material having a {100} texture comprising penetrating columnar crystal grains and made from iron or an iron-based alloy, wherein the sheet metal material is cold rolled at a reduction ratio of from 10 to 50% and then subjected to a secondary heat treatment at a temperature at which the ferritic phase (a) is stable, such that a {100} texture having a {100} plane parallel to the plane of the sheet metal material and a orientation parallel to the rolling direction is formed in the sheet metal material.</p> |
