PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking device for a game machine, which exhibits very high crime prevention performance against fraudulent operations and can be manufactured at low cost. SOLUTION: The locking device 1 for the game machine includes a striker 2 provided in the outer frame of a game machine and one of body frames openably pivoted on the outer frame, a hook 3 which can be engaged with or disengaged from the striker 2 provided on the outer frame and the other of the body frames, a pole 4 which always engagingly locks the hook 3 engaged with the striker 2 and capable of releasing it, a cam mechanism 6 with a lock (cylinder lock 61, a rocking cam 62, a slider 63) engaged with the pole 4 and driving the pole so as to release by an operation using a key. The locking device has a stopper member 5 located in the releasing direction of the pole 4 engaging the hook 3 to prohibit a releasing action, and engaging with the cam mechanism 6 with a lock and driven to permit the releasing action of the pole 4 by acting, preceding the pole 4.
