<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance electrostatic resistance of a pointing device by providing a route for static electricity entering an electronic apparatus through a gap between a case of the apparatus and the device to be relieved outside the case at an apparatus base side. <P>SOLUTION: A periphery of the pointing device is covered with a cylindrical coating member, and at the same time, ground mats are formed around the pointing device in a circuit board to make a route through which static electricity transmitted over an outer-periphery side surface of the coating member is impressed on the circuit board. By connecting the route to the case at an apparatus base side within a close range of the ground mats around the pointing device, a route is formed through which the static electricity infiltrated inside the circuit board is relieved to the case at an apparatus base side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT</p> |
