<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide pet food having a low water content, excellent in preservability, unfragile in spite of having a low bulk density, excellent in palatability in spite of having low calorie, showing a light finished color of a product through using a lot of chicken boneless meat, and hardly causing a browning reaction even in preservation. <P>SOLUTION: The pet food contains chicken boneless meat as a crude protein source. The amount of chicken boneless meat mixed is 8 mass% or more of solid content. The pet food contains 0.01-1 mass% of L-cysteine, 20 mass% or less of water, and 1 mass% or less of water insoluble mineral, and has a bulk density of 0.3-0.7g/cm<SP>3</SP>, and a value of a* in a L*a*b* color system of less than 20. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
