PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a positional information detecting system capable of acquiring positional information of a plurality of IC tags simultaneously. SOLUTION: In the positional information detecting system which is equipped with a plurality of tags outputting supersonic wave by making radio or infrared signal as trigger, a plurality of base stations into which supersonic wave output from those tags is input to measure time required to reach the supersonic wave from a plurality of the tags, and an administration controller acquiring the positions of a plurality of the tags based on arrival time information of the supersonic wave input from those base stations, a plurality of the tags are equipped with supersonic wave generating means generating supersonic wave of a predetermined frequency, a plurality of the base stations are equipped with a frequency sorting means sorting the received supersonic wave of a plurality of frequencies for each frequency, and the administration controller is equipped with a management table memorizing correspondence relations between a plurality of the tags and supersonic wave frequency for use and a controller calculating positions of a plurality of the tags from supersonic wave arrival time information input from a plurality of the base stations, using triangulation.
