PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a security device for preventing a resident from getting into danger, and for securing the safety of the resident, and for quickly handling abnormal circumstances. SOLUTION: This security device is provided with a security mode switching means: an operation means; an absence timer means for measuring a first exit timer time from when a switching operation from a security release state to an absence security state is accepted; a presence timer means for measuring a second exit timer time from when a switching operation from the security release state to a presence security state is accepted; and a notification means for reporting and notifying of the detection of abnormality. The notification means does not make a report to the monitoring center nor notify a monitoring region even when any abnormality is detected in the monitoring region between from when a security mode is set to the absence security state to when a first exit timer time elapses, and between from when the security mode is set to the presence security state to when a second exit timer time elapses.
