A firmware management method, a method for providing a firmware management service, and the firmware administration, a terminal capable of firmware management, and a server providing the firmware management service are provided to determine whether the firmware upgrade of a terminal is required based on the firmware version information of the terminal, thereby upgrading the firmware of the terminal as necessary. The opening request of a firmware management service is received from a server(S201). The terminal version information of a terminal(the firmware version information of the terminal) is transmitted to the server providing the firmware management service(S203). The firmware upgrade information of the terminal is received from the server, and the firmware is upgraded(S216). The firmware upgrade information comprises basic information and data information required for the firmware upgrade of the terminal.
