An ultrasonic probe having a piezo-electric resonator of curved surface shape is provided to increase the resolution of the ultrasonic image by preventing the center frequency of a receipt ultrasonic signal from being decreased. An ultrasonic probe comprises a piezo-electric resonator(11), an acoustic lens(12), and an impedance matching layer. The piezo-electric resonator has the curved surface shape at least one part of the real side or front side. The acoustic lens is located in front of the piezo-electric resonator of curved surface shape and collects the ultrasonic wave transmitted from the piezo-electric resonator. The impedance matching layer is positioned between the piezo-electric resonator of curved surface shape and the acoustic lens. |
