<p>An optical wave guide device for a touch panel and a manufacturing method thereof are provided to facilitate the operation of a light emitting unit and a light receiving unit by fixing the light emitting unit and the light receiving unit in one substrate. A mounting unit(10) is formed by fixing a light emitting unit(12) and a light receiving unit(13) in one substrate(11). A core(3) to emit the light and the light emitting unit are aligned and the core to receive the light and the light receiving unit are aligned at the same time. A concave part(5) with a cross section of the core and an overclad layer as a wall is formed in the center of the longitudinal direction of a band type optical wave guide. The mounting unit is mounted on the concave part. The alignment of the core in a light emitting side of the optical wave guide and the light emitting unit is omitted and the alignment of the core in a light receiving side of the optical wave guide and the light receiving unit is omitted at the same time.</p> |
