摘要 A method and a device for generating hydrogen are provided to generate hydrogen by a chemical reaction consistently and stably with respect to time without requiring a specific heat source from the outside, and a fuel cell having the device is provided. A fuel cell(3) comprises: a containing part(10) including a first chamber(11) containing an aqueous alkali solution in which an alkali catalyst for generating hydrogen is dissolved into water and a second chamber(12) filled with metal pellets in which an inorganic salt catalyst for generating hydrogen is mixed with a hydrogen generating metal; a cover(20) which covers an opened face of the containing part to seal the containing part, and in which at least one hydrogen exhaust hole(22) is formed to exhaust hydrogen generated in the containing part during a chemical reaction by mixing of the aqueous alkali solution and the metal pellets; and a power generating part(2) for generating electricity by receiving hydrogen from the containing part. The second chamber has a connecting insert(14) formed in an outer face thereof corresponding to the first chamber to guide the aqueous alkali solution in the first chamber into the second chamber by coercively inserting the connecting insert into the first chamber when joining the first and second chambers. The first chamber has a thin film part(15) formed on an outer face thereof corresponding to the connecting insert such that the thin film part is forcibly opened by pressurization force of the connecting insert when joining the first and second chambers. The hydrogen exhaust hole has a gas-liquid membrane(22a) to exhaust gaseous hydrogen to the outside while leaving the aqueous alkali solution and metal pellets in the containing part. Further, the alkali catalyst for generating hydrogen is selected from a group consisting of potassium hydroxide, sodium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide and iron hydroxide.
