A power supply apparatus is provided to reduce power loss by decreasing the diameter of a cable to below that of cable which is determined by corresponding to a maximum value of a current flowed in a load. A power supply unit(11) comprises a booster circuit(13) and a power storage(14). The booster circuit is connected to a battery(12), and the power storage temporarily stores power outputted from the booster circuit. An upper limit of the output current of the booster circuit is set as larger than average current per hour flowed in a load and lower than the maximum value of current flowed in the load. The first cable(23) connects the power storage to the load, and the second cable(22) connects the booster circuit to the power storage.
