PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the cleaning apparatus of a cylindrical filter mounted on a strainer capable of rotating the filter with a simple structure, surely changing the injection point of cleaning water to the filter, and cleaning the filter in a short period of time, when cleaning the filter by taking it out from the strainer for removing clogging of the filter. SOLUTION: The injection direction of cleaning water W<SB>3</SB>injected from a lot of nozzles 3a along the longitudinal direction of a main cleaning pipe 3 to which the filter 5 is loosely fitted is set vertically upward, and the injection direction of cleaning water W<SB>4</SB>injected from a lot of the nozzles 4a along the longitudinal direction of a sub cleaning pipe 4 is set vertically downward, and in the direction not passing through the center of the main cleaning pipe 3. The filter 5 is loosely fitted to the main cleaning pipe 3, and when the cleaning waters W3 and W4 are injected from the nozzles 3a, 4a, the filter 5 is floated up from the main cleaning pipe 3 by the cleaning water W<SB>3</SB>, and rotated by the cleaning water W<SB>4</SB>to be cleaned.
