PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game medium storage unit for storing the game media inside a game machine and capable of discharging game media from an appropriate position when automatically recovering the game media by making it possible to appropriately change the position of a discharge hole for discharging the game media. SOLUTION: The game medium storage unit 40 which is installed inside the game machine 2 and stores the game media in a storage space 42c comprises a receiving port 42b for receiving the game media from above to the storage space, a peripheral wall part 42a for surrounding the peripheral side face of the storage space in order to hold the game media received from the receiving port inside the storage space, and the discharge hole 44a which is arranged at the lower part of the peripheral wall part so as to drop the game media inside the storage space downwards, and whose arranging position at the lower part of the peripheral wall part is made changeable.
