PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the damage of a connection part with a shoulder strap in a back ring and to reduce burdens put on the shoulders of a person carrying a school bag on the back. SOLUTION: The school bag is provided with the back ring 3 for connecting one end part 41 of the shoulder strap 4 to a back pad part 2, the back ring 3 is provided with a support member 32 and a connecting member 33, and the connecting member 33 is provided with a proximal end part 33a and a planar part 33b. The proximal end part 33a is connected to the support member 32 so that respective surfaces of the planar part 33b positioned above it are swung and displaced in the cross direction of the back pad part 2, and the swing angle to the front of the planar part 33b is limited so as to be a prescribed angle. The planar part 33b is provided with a through-hole (connection part) 33h connected with one end part 41 of the shoulder strap 4 to be in the state of clamping the respective surfaces of the planar part 33b by being folded over by the proximal end part 33a or a bar-shaped member (falling prevention member) 32i, and is provided with an elastic deformation part 33i to be elastically deformed in the direction of separating from and getting close to the proximal end part 33a between the proximal end part 33a and the through-hole 33h.
