PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a prosthesis without rotating or moving a bearing in the forward/backward direction or the inside/outside direction. SOLUTION: This fixed-bearing knee prosthesis has a femoral component having a medial condyle surface and a lateral condyle surface. The knee prosthesis also includes the bearing having a medial bearing surface configured to articulate with the medial condyle surface of the femoral component and a lateral bearing surface configured to articulate with the lateral condyle surface of the femoral component. A tibial tray is secured to the bering. This tibial tray has a platform. This platform has a slender shaft section extending downward from an under surface of its platform. A peripheral rail extends along at least an anterior section of the perimeter of the tray platform. The peripheral rail extends upwardly from an upper surface of the platform.
