<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact backlight with smaller luminance unevenness. <P>SOLUTION: In the backlight in which a plurality of fluorescent lamps 2 having hot cathodes 23 at tube end sections 211 are arranged in a backlight case 1 with an opening face 111 and the plurality of fluorescent lamps 2, this backlight is a bent lamp wherein a bending section 212 is formed on at least a part of each fluorescent lamp 2 between both tube end sections 211. The tube end section 211 and the bending section 212 are arranged in the backlight case 1 at a zigzag shape so as to fit into an opening face 111, and a shield reflection section 311 covering the hot cathode 23 and reflecting light emitted from the bending section 212 of the adjacently arranged fluorescent lamp 2 to an opening face 111 side is arranged on the tube end section 211. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
