PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mulch sheet capable of suppressing or preventing production of weeds, excellent in handling properties even getting wet, and free from the need of collecting or discarding work after using. SOLUTION: This mulch sheet made of an iron foil has an average thickness of 20-60μm, and a plurality of hole parts at prescribed intervals in the width direction and the longitudinal direction. As a result, when laying the sheet on an agricultural land allowing sufficient water supply, such as a rice field, the mulch sheet is free from lowering of handling properties caused by containing water and rich in workability, and can remarkably suppress or prevent production of weeds, and also reduce weeding work and greatly reduce the amount used for agricultural chemicals so as to easily apply an agricultural chemical-reducing farming method and an organic farming method in rice farming. The mulch sheet is effective in requiring no collecting or discarding work after using. Furthermore, it is possible to eliminate raising seedling work, shorten an agricultural working time and expect reduction of labor by attaching seeds which are held with a sheet of paper or a cloth to the hole parts of the mulch sheet.
