PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control an amount of fuel flowing into a cylinder with higher precision by estimating a fuel behavior at starting with higher precision and positively controlling an intake pipe inside fuel amount. SOLUTION: This engine controller includes means for separating an amount of fuel remaining in vicinity to an intake port of an engine or in an intake pipe into an equilibrium liquid film fuel amount and non-equilibrium liquid film fuel amount for calculation, correcting a fuel injection amount based on the non-equilibrium liquid film fuel amount and controlling an in-cylinder flowing fuel amount with high precision.
