PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging lens body with a reduced overall length of a lens system while using four lenses and a reduced lens effective diameter and to provide an imaging unit provided with the imaging lens body and a personal digital assistant with the imaging unit mounted thereon. SOLUTION: The imaging unit includes: a first meniscus lens having a positive refractive power with a convex surface directed to the object side thereof; a second meniscus lens having a positive refractive power with a convex surface directed to the image surface side thereof; a third meniscus lens having a negative refractive power with a convex surface directed to the image surface side thereof; and a fourth lens which is arranged in the vicinity of the image forming surface 31a of a solid-state imaging apparatus, whose one surface is plane and the other surface has a curvature and which has a negative refractive power.
