A starting switching device for vehicles is provided to easily make the starting switching operation by straightly inserting an immobilizer key into a key cylinder. A starting switching device for vehicles comprises: a key interlocking unit having; a selection rack gear(61) and a returning rack gear(62) in the warped surface of a key body(41); a selection pinion gear(63) installed at an upper gear box(31); a first contact terminal(64) located in the selection pinion gear; a second contact pin(65) located in a second terminal board(52); a return pinion gear(66) installed at a lower gear box(32); an insertion location limit unit(70) restricting the insertion position toward a key insert groove part of an immobilizer key(40); a contact limit spring(67) installed at the floor side of the key insert groove part; and an unlocking part(68) canceling a locking state of the immobilizer key. The first contact terminal electrically connects a first battery terminal and a starting assist system terminal(51c), or a first battery terminal(51a) and a traveling device terminal(51b).
