PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent aggravation of appearance due to blackening by hiding the blackened part of a fluorescent lamp from outside so as not to be visually checked. SOLUTION: Without providing a discharge electrode in a lighting glass tube 2, a discharge electrode is fitted inside a discharge electrode installation tube part 3B, a connection tube part 3A and the discharge electrode installation tube part 3B are hidden from outside by installing a cover material 5 made of resin or heat-resistant resin to cover the connection tube part 3A and the discharge electrode installation tube part 3B, respectively. A base 8 equipped with a pin electrically connected with the discharge electrode, is fitted at the cover material 5, and also, the base 8 is fitted on an opposite face from a side with the lighting glass tube 2 arranged.
