The method involves automatically constructing a skeleton line running through a lumen (7). Points lying on an inner surface of a vessel (5) are automatically determined based on the line. An inner surface is automatically constructed from the points lying on the inner surface of the vessel. Points lying on an outer surface of the vessel are automatically determined, and an outer surface is automatically constructed from the points lying on the outer surface. A volume limited by the inner surface and the outer surface is three-dimensionally visualized. An independent claim is also included for a device for processing medical-technical image data.
