PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a polymer optical circuit, which provides a polymer optical circuit in which the degree of freedom in the waveguide core pattern of the optical circuit is kept and filters inserted into the optical circuit can exhibit intrinsic performance. SOLUTION: A casting mold 11, having a recessed part corresponding to a communicative flow passages 12A and 12B which communicate a waveguide core 2 and both end parts of the waveguide core 2 on one face, and an optical filter insertion hole 13 which is formed so as to intersect with the waveguide core 2 and to which an optical filter 3 is inserted, is formed by: injecting an elastomer for forming casting mold into a mold; and curing the elastomer. A clad base material 15 is made tightly contact on the one face of the casting mold 11, a curing resin for forming core is pored into the recessed part 12 of the casting mold 11, the optical filter 3 is inserted into the optical filter insertion hole 13, the waveguide core 2 is formed by curing the curing resin for forming core, the casting mold 11 is removed, and the rest part of the clad 4 is formed to manufacture the polymer optical circuit.
