The wireless communication system is configured from a relay system provided with multiple repeater devices, and from multiple wireless terminal devices that communicate via said relay system. Each repeater device transmits control information to the wireless terminal devices registered thereto. Each wireless terminal device, based on control information received from the repeater device to which it is registered, selects channels that are in a relay-ready state from among the channels assigned to the respective repeater device so that there is communication between the wireless terminal devices. Each repeater device, in addition to acquiring information that constitutes said control information via the communication line, synchronizes a downlink signal that it wirelessly transmits, to the communication signal. When shifting from a communication channel to another channel, each wireless terminal device maintains the synchronized state established in the channel prior to the shift. |
