The method involves determining temperature in an air duct (10) of an air conditioning system of a vehicle utilizing a measured value provided by a temperature sensor (20). The temperature in the air duct is temporarily changed, where change in the measured value provided by the temperature sensor resulting from changing of the temperature is determined as function of time. The temperature in the air duct is increased during a predetermined time interval. An independent claim is also included for a measured value verifying device comprising a collection mechanism.
