<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem that a backlight unit incorporated in a color liquid crystal display device of a conventional field sequential type is required to prepare many housings and many reflectors and therefore, the number of components increases. <P>SOLUTION: The light guide plate 11 is equipped with a surface part 15 from which light is emitted, a rear face part 16 which is positioned on the opposite side of the surface part 15, and a plurality of side face parts 17 which are positioned between these surface part 15 and the rear face part 16. At least one of these side face parts 17 includes a light incident end face part 12 from which light for emitting from the surface part 15 enters. The light guide plate 12 has a pair of slope portions 19a and a ridge portion 19b where these pair of slope portions 19a cross each other, and one end of this ridge portion 19b is positioned at the light incident end face part 12, and furthermore, the light guide plate has a plurality of partition grooves 19 which are formed mutually separated on the rear face part 16 so that the ridge portions 19b may be arranged mutually in parallel. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
