<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent image defects caused by the temperature drop of a fixing rotating body due to ejected gas and to reduce cost and power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: A gas ejection part 204 ejects the gas to between the top end of a passed sheet and the circumferential surface of a heating roller 202, when the sheet passes through a nip part between the heating roller 202 and a pressure roller. The gas ejection part 204 includes a plurality of air nozzles 505a to 505d and a plurality of electromagnetic valves 504a to 504d connected to them and selectively ejects the gas from a plurality of gas ejection positions in a width direction orthogonal to a sheet conveying direction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
