PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection method of powder which can reduce a labor required for inspection furthermore than a conventional inspection method. SOLUTION: In the powder inspection method for allowing a glass plate to abut on powder in order to manage a power quality, and measuring a color of the powder surface by a colorimeter through the glass plate, following processes are performed, namely, a storing process for storing the powder in a powder container having an opening on an upper part, which can store the powder inside, to be heaped up to the upside over the opening, and a rubbing process for forming a flat surface formed of the powder inside the opening by rubbing the powder along the edge of the opening. Besides, the storing process and the rubbing process are performed to obtain the state where the powder forming the flat surface is stored in a natural state, and after a smaller glass plate than the opening is allowed to abut on the flat surface, the powder is pushed down to the lower side than the flat surface to a prescribed depth by the glass plate, and measurement is performed relative to the pushed-down powder surface.
