The machine has a stator and a rotor, where the stator is provided with a stator winding (6) at a stator laminated core (5) and a modulation ring is firmly connected with the stator. The modulation ring is provided with sheet metal pieces that are arranged in a circumferential direction. The stator winding is implemented as a distributed winding so that pole pair number of stators is equal. The rotor has multiple continuous magnets for producing excitation fields i.e. rotor magnetic fields. The sheet metal pieces are implemented as a laminated core stacked in an axial direction.
