PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake control device making suppression of noise and desired starting performance compatible. SOLUTION: The brake control device retains the brake liquid pressure so as to prevent slide down of a vehicle at stepping-change of a pedal while stopping on a slope. The brake control device is provided with: a pressure reduction control valve for releasing retaining of the brake liquid pressure; and a control part for controlling the pressure reduction control valve such that pressure reduction is continued over an allowance time from starting of releasing of retaining of the brake liquid pressure set based on the desired starting performance to completion of releasing, and that pressure-reduction is completed at the time when the allowance time is passed.
