<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rubber-reinforcing glass fiber installed with a covering layer on a strand obtained by bundling glass fiber filaments, capable of giving an excellent dimensional stability, heat resistance. water resistance and oil resistance to a transmission belt in making the transmission belt by embedding the fiber in hydrogenated nitrile rubber, and especially the transmission belt having excellent oil resistance. <P>SOLUTION: This rubber-reinforcing glass fiber 6 is characterized by forming a primary covering layer containing (A) a phenols-formaldehyde condensate selected from a monohydroxybenzene-formaldehyde condensate or chlorophenol-formaldehyde condensate, (B) a vinyl pyridine-styrene-butadiene copolymer and (C) a hydrogenated nitrile rubber on the strand obtained by bundling a plurality of glass fiber filaments, and installing a secondary covering layer containing (D) a chlorosulfonated polyethylene and (E) a bis-allylnadiimide as an upper layer of the same. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2011,JPO&INPIT</p> |
