<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an error information output method for easily outputting error information without performing any complicate processing, and to provide a projector. <P>SOLUTION: A computer is configured to perform an error detection step for detecting occurrence of an error, and an error information output step for outputting error information for specifying error content at the occurrence of the error as an output signal from a predetermined output part.
