<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a memory card reading apparatus that reads and writes information to/from plural kinds of flash memory cards. <P>SOLUTION: The flash memory card reading apparatus includes a plurality of connectors 62, 64, 66 and 68, and a conversion chip 40. The conversion chip 40 includes an interface 100 for outputting data read from the flash memory card, and a shifter 98 for receiving a data signal and a clock signal.
