PCR PRIMER FOR SCREENING OF LOVASTATIN-PRODUCING STRAINS AND METHOD FOR SCREENING USING THE SAME

PURPOSE: A method for detecting lovastatin-producing strain using a PCR primer is provided to quickly and effectively detect the strain. CONSTITUTION: A PCR primer for detecting lovastatin-producing strain is a nucleotide of sequence numbers 1 and 2, or 3 and 4. The primer of sequence numbers 1 and 2 is used for amplifying polyketide biosynthesis gene. The primer of sequence numbers 3 and 4 is used for amplifying diketide biosynthesis gene. A method for detecting the strain comprises: a step of performing PCR using the primer of sequence numbers 1 and 2 and DNA from a test strain; and a step of performing PCR using the PCR product and the primer of sequence numbers 3 and 4.
