PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel composition that achieves PCI combustion under a wide range of operating conditions and has good diesel engine compatibility. SOLUTION: A gas oil composition includes base gas oil, 2C alcohol, and 4C alcohol, wherein a capacity ratio of the 4C alcohol to the 2C alcohol is 0.2-1.0, a capacity ratio of the total alcohol to the base gas oil is 0.1-1.2, and a cetane number is 39 or more.
