PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a packaging apparatus capable of packaging an article without using any tray. SOLUTION: The packaging apparatus 1, packaging an article 100 by using a film 50, includes a loading stand 10 for loading the article 100 to be packaged, a chuck 13 for conveying a film 50A on the loading stand 10 before loading the article 100 on the loading stand 10, a measuring tool 80 for measuring the weight of the article 100 loaded on a first portion 501 of the film 50A on the loading stand 10, a chuck 14 which conveys the film 50A with the article 100 loaded on the first portion 501, and folds back a second portion 502 of the film 50A before the first portion 501 over the article 100, and seal parts 16, 17 for sealing edges of the first portion 501 and the second portion 502 of the folded-back film 50A to each other.
